Cartoons & Coronavirus​

1. Brainstorm

• Think of cartoons or movie characters that are current and popular.

• Choose a topic that would relate to the character in a funny manner. 

  • Handwashing, social distancing, masks, lack of toilet paper, etc.​..

• Test your idea on a friend or family member to make sure they get the humor. ​

-Gripless is an anonymous artist who illustrates puns inspired by celebrities, characters, and current events.

2. Sketch out your ideas

• Make sure your idea comes across clearly. 

  • Ex: The little mermaid finally gets feet... but all the humans are now in quarantine.

3. Final Drawing​

• Refine your line quality. 

• You can add words on later. I use the collage app.

• I take a photo of my drawing and edit the contrast and even add words to it since my handwriting is not super easy to read. ​

​

 

Make sure you turn it in the designated folder. We will look at them as a class. They can be done in whatever medium works for you.
